How to capture the goods
Pick your path
People & Onboarding
Signs you might need to up your onboarding game:
New hires take longer than expected to work independently.
Each manager onboards differently, and results vary.
Senior staff spend significant time answering questions.
People leave within their first year.
Operations & Standards
Signs it’s time to write some stuff down:
Work quality varies depending on who does it.
Decisions wait until you are available.
Customers are starting to lose trust.
Responsibilities overlap or go unassigned.
Training Programs
Signs that training could be the right fix:
A new program, tool, or regulation requires skills your staff have not used before.
You are hiring faster than experienced staff can teach new ones.
Team members know the expectations, yet performance varies under pressure.
Strong performers have been promoted into management without preparation.
Partners or clients have asked you to share your expertise.
When training is not the answer: if the gap comes from unclear expectations or inconsistent processes, I will say so and recommend Operations & Standards instead. Training cannot replace a missing process.
What’s included: a learning and development program designed from learning goals through evaluation. Formats go beyond the classroom: short practice sessions, scenario exercises, job aids people use while they work, and train-the-trainer guides so your own staff can deliver it. Section 508 accessible throughout.
Programs cover both technical skills and the people skills that make them work: managing others, giving feedback, and handling conflict.
Communications
Signs your materials aren’t keeping up:
Funders and partners request materials you do not have.
Program descriptions and organizational materials are out of date.
Reports are assembled under deadline pressure.
Different employees describe your company in different ways.
How we work together—
start with a review or go straight to your project.
Review
I spend time studying your challenge through conversations, research, and reviewing existing materials. You get a findings report outlining observations and recommendations.
Design Project
I create the systems, plans, and documents while your team reviews drafts at set checkpoints. I do the work, and you weigh in. You keep all guides, playbooks, and templates to use and change.
Rollout Project
I help your team adopt new ways of working—we collaborate to put the playbooks into practice, preparing managers first, addressing concerns, and refining the materials based on what we learn.
Advisory
After your first project, you can opt for continued support as your organization grows and changes. With Advisory, you get a thinker and a doer who knows your business and is committed to its success.
